Each Saturday for the month of February 2016, join us for Happy Hour (4:00 - 6:30 pm) at OKRA Charity Saloon at 924 Congress Street in Houston ...if you get a chance, come by and have a drink/appetizer and vote for The Forgotten Pet Advocates during the month. For every item you purchase (drink or food), you get a ticket....you vote for the group you want to win by placing your ticket in that groups voting booth....ours is the Wizard of Oz theme "There's No Place Like Having A Home". The group that gets the most votes (tickets) for the month wins the proceeds for the month of March.....we need your help to win. We are up against three other great animal groups, so come out and help us....we will be there every Saturday evening this month....if you can't make our happy hours and your downtown, drop in anytime during February and vote for us (take a photo - we would love to post it on our FB page and on our website - see below)....we would really appreciate your support.......last year The Forgotten Pet Advocates adopted out over 250 animals in 2015, this does not include the animals that went to rescue or the animals we helped other groups get adopted or the number of feral cats we spayed or neutered........we also helped build fences for chained dogs, distributed doghouses to those in need, and helped individuals that fell on hard times......this truly is a group that ALL proceeds go to the animals, we are strictly volunteer based.....Thanks for your support!
